Pool rules & summer guidelines
Hours & general use
Opening Day is Saturday, May 16, 2026. The pool is open daily from 10:00 AM to 10:00 PM. Lifeguards are on duty 10:00 AM to 5:00 PM — outside those hours, swim at your own risk.
Guest policies
In-county guests are welcome Tuesdays and Thursdays with a member ($5/guest, including evenings).
Out-of-county guests may visit up to 14 days per season at no charge. Guests must be accompanied by a member, and everyone signs in daily.
Age & supervision
Members 11 and under must be accompanied by a parent, adult member, or babysitter. Members 12+ may visit unaccompanied during lifeguard hours and may bring an age-12+ guest on guest days. Members 14+ may visit independently 5:00–10:00 PM at their own risk.
Babysitter passes
$100 per family, available in the clubhouse and issued only to non-member babysitters. Passes cannot be purchased for non-custodial or joint-custodial parents. The babysitter must remain on-site with the child they're supervising.
Birthday parties
Pool rentals are available 5:00–9:00 PM for a $50 fee, which includes up to 10 non-member guests. A lifeguard is required ($13/hr cash, paid directly to the guard). To reserve, call or text Bill Blanks at (434) 579-5517, and pay the pool fee to Lee Tysinger in the clubhouse.
Music & entertainment
Music is available through Alexa under the picnic shelter. Only individuals 18+ may operate the TV or music. Keep volume conversational, no explicit content, and be courteous to members who wish to relax.
Respect for the facility
Dispose of trash, keep the pool area tidy, and close umbrellas before leaving. Glass or breakable containers are not permitted. Violations may result in suspension of pool privileges.
Safety & security
The Halifax County Sheriff's Department monitors the pool area during evening hours. Anyone on the premises after 11:00 PM — member or not — may be charged with trespassing.
